ABOUT

The name “The Sprouting Homestead” holds special meaning for us, it represents both where we currently stand and where we’re headed. Just like a seed, it all began small, but with time, nurturing, and patience, it will grow into something much bigger. Our vision for this journey is to build something lasting and meaningful.

In 2020, Dylan and I took the first big step and bought our first home together, a quaint 3-bedroom house in the city. While we were excited about this new chapter, it quickly became clear that this wouldn’t be our forever home.

How It All Started:

Welcome to the blog

The hustle and bustle of city life, along with limited space and privacy, made us realize we wanted more; more room to spread out, more nature surrounding us, and more peace and quiet.

By 2024, we took the leap and found our dream property! A beautiful house nestled on land that offered the peace and privacy we’d always longed for. Since moving in, we’ve been working hard to transform it into the homestead we’ve always envisioned, a place where we can grow our own food, live sustainably, and create a space where our family can thrive.

we believe in doing it all. Gardening, canning, cooking from scratch, tending to our chickens and cows, making natural skin care products, and perfecting our sourdough.

The Garden

From growing our own food, preserving what we grow, to raising animals and crafting everything from scratch, we've created a life that truly nourishes us.

If you’ve ever felt like modern life is missing something, or if you’ve found yourself longing for a life that’s a little simpler, you’re in the right place. Together, let’s explore how we can all cultivate a more intentional, peaceful, and self-sufficient life.
