Once you make homemade ranch seasoning, you may never go back to the packet again. It’s quick to whip up and endlessly versatile, you’ll want to sprinkle it on everything.

Why Make Your Own Ranch Seasoning?

Sure, you can buy pre made spice blends, but here is why you should be making your own:

  • Saves money in the long run

  • Avoids unnecessary additives

  • Lets you tweak the flavor to suit your family

  • Tastes way better than store-bought

Sprinkle It On:

  • Roasted potatoes or fries

  • Popcorn

  • Chicken tenders

  • Baked veggies

  • Pasta salad or potato salad

  • Air-fried anything!

I like to keep a jar of this on hand at all times. Print a cute label, jot down mixing instructions, and keep it in your spice drawer or pantry. It makes a great DIY gift, too!

I made this ranch seasoning to give away as gifts. I decided to try it first. I used exactly 1 1/2 tablespoons, 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup sour cream. Let it sit in the frig for a few minutes. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! It is a TINY bit dill foward, so I may back off on the dill next time. But I plan to keep this in my panty all the time. Also, it was SUPER THICK, so like a dip, not like a dressing. I guess if you wanted to use it to make ranch dressing, you could sub milk for the sour cream. I may try that next. I'm still trying to figure out how …

Same instructions for making the ranch dip! But add milk or butter milk to thin it out to your liking :)
